Reliving the old volleyball days

Tonight after Chapter One, a bunch of us went up to the sand volleyball court at ASU and had a little volleyball rally going on. For those of you who don't know....I LOVE VOLLEYBALL! That was my main sport in high school...Varsity all three years baby! #5!!!! Anyways, pretty much anytime I get a chance to play, I will! I haven't played since I went to Cancun in May (where I whooped up on them there too), so it took me a little bit to kind of get into the swing of it, but not too long. I was on fire tonight! Digging for it, setting it up, and had some killer serves! Man, I love this game! One of my friends, who wasn't there tonight, keeps talking some mad trash to me about how he's gonna show me what's up next time. He just doesn't know what's coming....I don't know though, I think he's pretty good, so maybe we should be on the same team. We'd be great together! .....Naw, I'm not scared. I need to put him in his place first, then we'll team up and whoop everyone else! haha! I need to get some of my volleyball pictures and post them...I'll have to do it tomorrow because I have to scan them and all that. The ONLY reason I would want to go back to high school, is to be in that competition again. There is nothing like a volleyball game...when you're close to game point, sweat dripping down like crazy, and every single play is crucial! I LOVE IT!!!
Well, I better get to bed...good night!

My Girls

I know I always talk about my awesome friends, so I thought I should post some pictures so you know who I'm talking about.

This is Bethany and me at Kylah's wedding. Isn't she beautiful? She's also an amazing woman of God who has been teaching me so much! She has really been here for me lately!! Love ya girl! This is me and Crystal at SOAR working the booth for Chi Alpha. She is my pastor's wife and I'm so glad we have gotten really close since I move back!

Next is Kelli...Kelli is Bethany's younger sister. We became pretty close not too long ago. It's kind of crazy how we got close, but there was some stuff that I just had to get off my chest a couple of months ago and she was the one who I confided in.

Then there is my best friend Shelia! We have been best friends since I was in 8th grade. She's been there for me through everything. I can tell this girl anything. She always knows the right thing to say when times are rough...or knows how to just sit there with me, even if we aren't saying anything..she's there! We've definately have had lots of great times together! She the one person who knows pretty much EVERYTHING about me!

All of these girls are wonderful! My dad always said, "If you can count on one hand how many true friends you have, you're lucky." I'm really lucky to have them!!!

The Weekend

It's been a pretty good weekend...having the 4th of July fall in the middle of the week threw me off a little though. I kept thinking Friday was Monday for some reason. I didn't do too much this weekend. I don't know where all of my friends were, but that's ok because it gave me and my friend Bethany a chance to get really close! Did I ever tell you that woman is amazing? We hung out Friday night and watched a movie that was so bad we ended up turning it off. I can't even remember the name of it now because it was so bad. I felt horrible because I was all like-"This looked so good! It looked really inspiring and I've been dying to see it" UH...yea, they made the previews look good, but it was so weird! Ok, so anyways, then Saturday I went to work from 9-2 and I was there by myself! I leased an apartment out again and handled everything all by myself! After work, Beth and I went shopping for a little bit and then went and got something from Chick-Fil-A (Go figure right?) If you have read Bethany's blog's or you know Bethany, then you know what I'm talking about...so we drove around Santa Rita looking at houses while eating our Chick-fil-a....yes, we were looking for our future home, dreaming big!!! We talked about the future and how our lives right now are determining so much of it. Beth and I have had some awesome times lately! Then we came home later and watched Along Came Polly....that was way better than the night before! Then today I went to Church, went out to eat with some friends and am thinking about going to the movie by myself. (this is another one of those times that a man would come in handy) So anyways, that was my weekend!

Summer classes...

YAY!!! First summer session grades are in!! I took Spanish I and a Communications class (Desktop Publishing) and found out just a little bit ago that I got an A in BOTH classes!!!!! You can tell I did good because otherwise I wouldn't be so excited about grades coming in. lol!! Now I just have to keep up the good work going into 2nd summer session....I can't believe I'm taking all these classes this summer, but I guess if I want to graduate by December of 2008, then I've got to do it. Everyone keeps telling me that I'm going to be burned out when the fall semester starts, so please pray that that doesn't happen.
I also leased 2 apartments while I was at work today! That's 4 so far and I've only been there a week and 3 days! I really like the job and feel that it is preparing me well to be a drug rep.
Alright, well I'm about to go grub it up at Beth and Kelli's parents house! It's great having Mexican friends! lol!!! You know I love you!

Ellie...

My other fish Ellie has officially died....I just watched her die a second ago. I got home from beth and kelli's and she was swimming, but upside down. She kept trying to turn back over, but her poor body just wouldn't turn right side up....i went to the bathroom and came back and she won't move at all anymore. So now both of my fish died on the 4th of July. :(

The 4th

I kept thinking that the 4th of July was going to really suck because I haven't been able to get ahold of any of my friends, but then I realized how selfish I was being and needed to realize that's not what this day is about! It's about having freedom!!! I am free to praise God any time I want and free to live my life the way I want and God wants. There isn't anyone telling me how to live my life! I pray for each and every solider and there families and especially the ones who are in Iraq right now. Thank you for all your doing! The only thing that kind of sucks today is that I got out of bed, walked into the living room, and saw that my 5 day old fish died....his name was Texas and I just got him like last Thursday or Friday. I bought two goldfish and at least Ellie is still alive, but dang it...I really liked Texas. ( I named him Texas after UT, showing that longhorn pride!)
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

No plans for the 4th

Lets see.....today was a pretty awesome day! I had my last day of classes for the first summer session and I think I ended up doing pretty darn good in both of my classes!!! I definately can speak some Spanish now! haha! Probably more than Bethany!!! hahahahaha!!!! (she will really agree with me on that) Then, work went pretty good, just learning new things everyday and likeing my job more and more. After work I really got to spend some time with my friend Shelia! She's been my best friend since 8th grade and I love her so much! I know I've already told you all about her....So then Beth came over and man, both of us were so stinkin' tired I can't even remember what all we were really talking about, but we laughed quite a bit! She's been so helpful lately!
Now, it is officially the 4th of July and I still don't have ANY plans! I haven't heard from any friends other than Beth and Kelli about what they are doing. Beth and Kelli are going to eat with their huge family, Shelia is going home to Rotan (there is no way I'm going there), and so as of right now I'll be watching the fireworks by myself.....(this is the perfect time when a man would come in handy) lol!! Just kidding! Anyways, I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL 4TH OF JULY!!!
