Girls Night!

Last night we had girls night! A bunch of the girls from Chapter One went out to eat at Henry's and then were supposed to play putt-putt golf after. Well, we went and ate and I must say, the food was so delicious! Then we drove over to putt-putt and ended up deciding to just go to Baker's Street and get coffee and just hang out. (Because we found out that our putt-putt in San Angelo sucks) So we just went and hung out and talked! It was a wonderful time of fellowship and I love these girls!
After that, Kristin and I went to Wal-Mart to look for Halloween costumes. We want to go together, but we can't think of something that would work for a pair besides the typical things....you know, salt and pepper, doctor and nurse, etc. Well, we did think of something that would be absolutely hilarious, but I can't tell you yet. It would be pretty darn funny if we decide to do it! We are going this afternoon to look for the stuff to do it!
If anyone has any good ideas, please let me know!

A surprise at work!

Yesterday was just awesome! I'm truly blessed with the most amazing family ever, the greatest friends ever, and a wonderful job! Where do I start....?
Yesterday at work, my boss, Lisa, and I were messing around with some movies and she had walked over where our outgoing mail box is and said, "Hey, you got a package."
Me: I do?? What is it doing coming to the office?
Lisa: I don't know. Open it.
Me: (opening the small package) A camera card and furniture polish??
Her: Hm.....that's wierd.
I then realized that there was another big package sitting back over where we got the other mail, but for some reason didn't see this huge massive box.
So, I opened it and it was A NEW DIGITAL CAMERA!!!! My parents are the greatest! The digital camera I had doesn't even turn on anymore and I was really sad because I love to take pictures and I didn't think I would get a new camera until Christmas, which means I was going to miss out on a lot of pictures!
So thank you Mom and Daddy for my camera! I absolutely love it and I even used it last night already!! I love you guys so much and I'm so lucky that God blessed me when he made you my parents!!!

I love my job....again!

If there is one thing I can count on every day...it's going to work and getting a good laugh! I absolutely love my job and love the people I work with! There are only 6 people total-3 of us girls in the office and 3 maintenance men. My boss Lisa, who is the Manager, is so amazing! She is such a strong woman and is good at what she does! She cracks me up! All of her crazy jokes and thought of the day stories are well worth hearing! LOL!! It's even funnier when she can't remember how to tell the joke because that was her New Year's resolution-to learn how to tell jokes. haha! We have a thought of the day almost everyday and you just can't even imagine....enough said! :) And then there is my assistant manager, Olivia, who has become a really good friend to me outside of work and her advice gets me through the day sometimes! They are both wonderful and I'm so lucky to have great co-workers!

Wasting time...

I'm just sitting in the computer lab waiting for my next class to start.
So, I thought I would blog. Ok, I know I just wrote one, but I was bored!
I guess I could be studying or going over the paper I'm about to turn in for my next class,
but hey, I stayed up late working on it and I think it's good enough.
This afternoon me and some of the girls are going to Abilene, to get fitted for bridesmaid dresses!!! YAY! I love doing this girly stuff!! And I'm totally excited about helping Mindy plan her wedding!!! So girls, I can't wait for this afternoon we are going to have a blast!!

What was I thinking?

Do you ever have those days when you just wonder what in the world was I thinking?? Well, I've had a couple of those days lately. How could I have been so blind to certain things?? Especially when I know better?? It's just because we get stupid sometimes and want to do things our way! Don't do that...

Angelo State Homecoming 2007

This past week was my college's homecoming (Angelo State). There were a bunch of events going on through-out the week such as a BBQ cook off, volleyball tournament, decorating floats, building bonfire, STEP contest, and so much other stuff! Each sorority, frat, or major group could compete in these events.....being that I'm in Chi Alpha, I participated in the VOLLEYBALL game (bet you never would have guessed that huh? lol) and I also was on the STEP team.

All I can say is WOW! We had so much fun!!! We didn't win our volleyball game and we didn't advance to finals for the step team, but we had a BLAST! Hey, Chi Alpha DID win 2nd in the BBQ cook off!
Last night was the pep rally and bon fire and today is the football game. Anyways, I've got some pictures from the pep rally last night and some of us practicing our stomp routine, but none of us at the competition yet! Those are coming soon.....so check em' out!

Home Sweet Home

YAY!!! I'm going home tomorrow!!! I miss my mom and dad soooooo much!!! And guess what?? I get a HOME-COOKED MEAL!!!! I love my mom's cooking and can not wait! And I'm taking home a friend. I haven't brought home a friend since I've been in college. My parents were probably wondering if I even had friends. hahaha! Well, I did bring someone home, but that's a different story....we won't get into that one.
So anyways, MOM & DAD-I can't wait to see you! Get ready because your favorite daughter is coming home. haha! Just kidding Megan.
P.S.-I'm bringing home laundry.... :)

My Best Friend-Shelia

Did I mention that I LOVE my best friend?? I don't know what I would do without this girl! She's been there through good AND bad for the last 6 years! We've stayed best friends throughout college even! I can share anything and everything with her and she loves me! haha! Even when we didn't get to see each other that much she's always been there to talk to!
I love this girl like a sister! Shoot, she practically is my sister!
Thank you Shelia for being the greatest best friend anyone could ask for! I love you!

Ok.....well, I was trying to post a picture of me and her up, but for some reason it's not working right now. So I'll try again in a little bit!

Report

Well, it's been a couple of days since I've gone to the doctor, but I never filled you in on what went on. So here it goes, I went to the dermatologist for my yearly checkup (even though its been longer than a year since I went last). I had 14 moles removed back when I was going into 8th grade and 7 out of the 14 had pre-melanotic changes. I have the light hair, light eyes and lord knows the pale skin. Plus, my dad has had skin cancer before in a couple of different areas. So, I go for my check up and she was really really nice (Dr. Johnston). She came into the room and first thing she did was give me a hug. (I think she knew I was really nervous. Her nurse probably informed her) So she checks me out and turns out that I had to have 2 more moles taken off. One was in my head and the other was on my back. That tells you I didn't get too much sleep the following 2 nights because they kinda hurt and I didn't want to role over on one of them. I don't know the results yet, but I go back on October 9th to have my sutures removed and get the results then. So, I'm fine and it's going to be ok!
